The hair extensions are groups of false hair, whether natural or synthetic, using different techniques bind him to get different effects. Normally used hair extensions to get more volume in those who have fine hair, also to give more length in short or long hair to cover balding areas.

Also used a lot in hair that somehow under attack of chemicals (bleaching, dyes, or des-curlers curling) and are broken in some areas. It is a good alternative to take these cases to sacrifice the entire length of hair and clean only with the court, those areas that have been damaged.

HAIR EXTENSIONS what types of extensions are there?

• Hair extensions hair can be natural (human) or synthetic (fiber).
• The election is based on the use that we will make of them.
• Therefore, we must know the differences in both use and maintenance between them, because if we stick to multiple forms of placement, is equal in both cases.
• Natural hair extensions give us the possibility of making them all work since their morphology is identical to that we have in our heads, so we can curl it with irons, with curling, curly, working with hand dryer and even can change the color of the hair.
• Synthetic hair extensions, to be a fiber or plastic, we do not allow this type of variation, only a very careful manner.
• For this case we must use a special plate with temperature or vapor, can vary slightly the way they start.
• If not treated carefully, with direct heat shrink and even burn.
• For all the above, although the natural hair extensions are more expensive, would be more appropriate if you want to take fixed.

HAIR EXTENSIONS how are they?

Hair extensions can be found in clumps or groups united in woven strips, which are cut taking into account the diameter of the head area where they will be placed.

Placement techniques are endless, with your own hair braided, sewn together (when they are in strips).

Extensions of groups, are bonded with keratin or silicone, they take small groups of hair, are placed on top and blend with your chosen product to paste is shaped with fingers or with the solder and cooled.

You can also place the strips of hair woven on a temporary basis and can be removed and replaced at will, this is done by sewing the ends of the strips tiny combs (crabs) that are attached to their own hair and make it sufficiently secure.

Tips for hair extensions

It is very important for the use of hair extensions make proper maintenance of them, which we address the following recommendations:

• Wash your hair with your head up (not upside down).
• Do not rub too much to wash (tangles).
• Apply softeners only from the junction.
• Do not give very direct heat the solder points of the extension.
• Do not brush aggressively.
• Do not let them grow too (from the root to the anchor, will create a tangle of hair or new games if you spend much time, it is difficult to repair).

All through the summer season, the majority of women are trying to figure out how to acquire surfer girl hair. This is actually the style of hair style where hair shade gets very lighter than it really is. The truth is, a few redhead surfers frequently get warmer hair or blotches after a long time in the sunshine.

To have this appearance, one should initially learn precisely how it all happens. Simply put, the mixture of salt and sun have the effect of the brightening effects on the hair. The sun’s rays fries your hair while the salt seems to heighten its effect. Therefore, the sunnier or saltier the area is, the quicker your hair ends up.

Here is the ultimate way to surfer girl hair without having to spend time in the ocean.

Finding the Color

As stated, the salt and sun have the effect of the color change. Therefore, the best procedure would be recreating the surroundings sometimes by hitting the beach front or through artificial means. Plainly merge normal water, salt and essential oil in a container and start spraying it all over the hair. As soon as this is done, leave the house and allow the sun do its work. The essential oil is mainly there to make sure that the frying effect will go more quickly as oil is excellent in bringing in warmth. Don’t have enough time to make your personal beach hairspray?

Surfer Girl Hairstyle

Obviously, it isn’t only the colour that defines this look. Women who typically surf have this wavy hair style that results soon after being dried out in the sunshine. In order to get this appearance, start with clean hair dried by using a hand towel. Don’t rub your hair with the cloth; instead just let it dry out until the hair strands are merely moist. At this point, part your hair in between and start tying or braiding each one. Spray hairspray on the braids and leave them that way over night. In the morning, your hair would have that wavy surfer girl hair appearance once let down.

Additional Hints

Surfer girl hair seems impressive especially against tanned skin. Remember that surfers stay in the sunshine for some time and for that reason have that great skin dyes; but also keep in mind the risks of excessive sun exposure. Don’t ignore the sun block lotion!

“The versatility of a full lace wig knows no bounds.”

Ladies (and gentlemen), tell me if this story sounds familiar…

I began wearing lace wigs after on again – off again, tumultuous relationships with other types of hair extensions. I tried braids, bonded human hair extensions, sewn in human hair weaves, synthetic and human hair beauty supply store wigs… Until one day - I FINALLY I found the love of my life, the commited relationship that has stood the test of time… a full lace wig.

Ladies, if you haven’t “fallen in love” yet with full lace wigs (and yes - once you fall, it will be plural = wigS) – allow me to share my hair mistakes, the pros & cons, and the money ups and downs. The information that you are about to read will save you a lot of time and money. Allow me to introduce you to your future hair love – full lace wigs.

Full lace wigs have a lower annual cost and provide more styling options when compared to other types of human hair extensions. At ShopLaceWigs.com we challenge our clients to accept our progressive approach to business. Compare and save!

KEEP THESE THINGS IN MIND:

Approximate ANNUAL COST

Approximate TIME TO REMOVE

Now, compare:

FULL LACE WIG $300    1 wig – Self application 1 hour/ YES /YES /YES /30 minutes

Human Hair MICRO BRAIDS $1000 $250 = Hair + Pro application 4 x per year 4-6 hours + /YES /YES /YES /2 hours

Full Head, Human Hair Wefts BONDED WEAVE $1300 $50 = Hair + Self application Every 2 weeks/ 26 x per year 2 hours/ NO /NO /Loosens the bond NO – Loosens the bond /1 hour

For jobs in hairdressing or barbering you will need to have a unique combination of skills and will also require a great deal of training. Rewarding opportunities such as salon management positions and hairdressing jobs overseas are all achievable for ambitious hairdressers. To be a competent hairdresser you will have to possess an almost unrivalled level of ability in a vast array of skills.

Hairdressers use a range of cutting and styling techniques to enhance the personal appearance and confidence of clients. They may work in a salon catering for men, women and children. Some salons specialise in particular styles and clients. For example, African-Caribbean hairdressing techniques include pressing, braiding, plaiting and attaching hair extensions, while traditional male barber services may include trimming beards and moustaches.

Characteristics of a hairdresser

A hairdresser should have:

* excellent interpersonal skills, and be able to talk with clients in a relaxed manner
* good listening ability to interpret clients’ requests
* the ability to work quickly and accurately with their hands
* an element of creativity and artistic sense
* a caring, positive attitude
* a smart personal appearance and good personal hygiene
* good manual dexterity
* punctuality and the ability to stay calm when under pressure
* stamina, as they are on their feet for most of the day
* a willingness to learn new techniques and keep their skills up to date.

Getting into the hairdressing industry

The main routes into hairdressing are:

* applying to a salon as a trainee/junior, learning on the job and attending college on day release

* doing a full-time or part-time college course – it is important to make sure that the course leads to a recognised qualification

* via an Apprenticeship.

There are many places to find current hairdressing job opportunities including local newspapers or visiting a salon in person. More and more salons however are choosing to use online job boards. This makes registering your details with salonjobseeker.com an excellent idea for both current and future job seeking.

There are no minimum entry qualifications to begin training as a hairdresser. The right personal qualities are usually regarded as more important than academic ability.

Entrants work towards vocational qualifications, such as NVQs/SVQs in Hairdressing. Level 1 covers the basic introductory skills needed for a career as an assistant hairdresser; Level 2 includes the essential skills needed for hairdressers; and Level 3 covers more advanced hairdressing techniques and management skills.

The job description

New trainees usually spend most of their time greeting customers, washing towels and replenishing stock items, washing hair, and keeping the salon clean and tidy together with reception duties in some cases. Much of their training involves observing experienced stylists carrying out tasks such as:

* consulting and advising clients
* shampooing and conditioning hair
* trimming, cutting, layering or thinning hair
* colouring
* perming
* blow-drying and styling
* diagnosing hair and scalp problems
* putting hair up, or pinning and accessorising hair for special occasions.

As trainees gain experience, they may start to practise these techniques on mannequins and then client models.

Progressing in hairdressing

Experienced hairdressers may also decide to work towards more advanced qualifications, such as:

* City & Guilds Level 4 Higher Professional Certificate or Diploma in Technical Salon Management
* a Foundation degree in hairdressing or creative hairdressing, combined with salon management
* degrees in beauty therapy.

Hairdressers working in television and theatre normally have experience in make-up as well.

Hair fashions change quickly, with new techniques and products constantly being introduced. Hairdressers must follow trends and keep their skills fresh. Manufacturers of hair products frequently offer short courses. Larger salons may have an academy or senior stylists who travel around demonstrating cutting techniques for the latest styles.

The UK hair and beauty industry is fast becoming one of the most exciting, popular industries for young people to start a career in. This position will ensure that British hairdressing continues to be regarded amongst the best in the world.

Edward Blum, who owns the prestigious Makeovers Salon & Spa of Easton with his wife Norah Blum, served on the Wella team for celebrity designer Donna Karan as they introduced the DKNY Fall 2010 collection during Fashion Week. Below, he shares tips on how to obtain easy, sophisticated runway hairstyles for fall:

Classy Ponytail – This timeless hairstyle should be worn low and softly off to the side to create a simple yet spectacular look this fall. To achieve this look, pull hair from a loose pony and slide it to the side of your choice. Hair length does not particularly matter, although for shorter hair using clip on extensions to achieve the best look is a must. You can also purchase a weft of hair from your local extension retailer to add extra fullness and length to the pony. To get more of a sophisticated look, wrap a small section of your hair around the hair tie.

Waffle Waves – This look is about a thick loose natural wave that is very complementary and feminine. Starting with damp hair add a small amount of styling gel all over. Gather and section your hair into 6 small parts. The front of your hair should be parted in the direction you would typically wear it. Braid each section, keeping it 4 to 5 inches away from the part. The key is keeping the braids very large. Smaller braids will create more of a crimped look. When hair is fully dry, disband and run fingers through entire head.

Organic Stone Inspired Color – To achieve the best possible color, these techniques should be performed by a professional. For blonds and cooler blonds, a multi-dimension balayage method would be ideal this fall. This means that your stylist designs and places multi-colored highlights and low lights to produce a granite or slate stone color effect. Thanks to Eva Scrivo and Wella Hair Color.

Side Braid – This will work with any size or shape of the braid. For more of an impact a very large loose braid works best. Plates woven from one side of the head bandaging the front of the hair is a popular choice. Braids will be everywhere this fall.

Short Haircuts – Very military inspired androgynous short hair pairs beautifully with today’s high fashion styles such as the tuxedo inspired look for women and blazers with high shoulder pads. This cut starts with a barber taper neckline, very short sides and the top being one length. Unlike last season, the asymmetrical bold and edgy look is fading quickly. This season, short cropped sides, and long top rounds the look. Hair can be worn slicked back or soft and forward as you like.

According to Edward Blum, “Most of the styles you’ll see this fall are very natural and easy to obtain. The emphasis is on chic, without a lot of fuss.”

Hair extensions offer a beautiful new look to those who are interested in them. Before you pick the best way to apply them, you need to figure out what kind of hair to buy. Synthetic hair is made out of plastic and is often times unusually shiny, so it doesn’t look like it grew out of your head, which is the goal. When you’re looking for a new hair style, human hair extensions are a more reliable option.

When you walk into a typical beauty supply store, there are many different choices as far as what kind of hair you want to install. Some say synthetic, some say human, and some say remy. For someone who is not familiar with hair extensions, they may not know what type of hair to buy.

The problem with synthetic hair extensions is that you don’t know where they came from. You just know it’s fake. Synthetic hair extensions look beautiful in the package but once they are installed to your head, they don’t last very long. They start to mat up and tangle and stick to your head. They also cannot be styled with heat or they will melt and leave plastic chunks in your hair. Synthetic hair is best used when doing braided hair extensions since the bottom of the braid is burned to maintain the style.

Human hair extensions last the longest but it’s hard to find the perfect brand. Beauty supply stores that carry human hair extensions can be misleading. Just because it says “human hair” doesn’t necessarily mean “good hair.” Some of this human hair is from all different heads or even off the floor. Some of it also tangles like synthetic hair. It is best to use trial and error with this kind of hair.

Hair ordered from overseas can be hit and miss as well. It all depends on what you are looking for. If you have blonde hair, you may want to order hair from Europe so the texture and color match your hair better. Keep in mind that even if the hair is from Europe, it can still be highly processed to match your hair color.

Indian Remy hair is a very popular hair that matches many different hair types, from African American to Caucasian. If the quality of the Indian Remy hair is good, this hair can be colored and highlighted to meet your hair extension needs. Hair that is ordered internationally is going to be more expensive than the beauty supply store hair but it can last up to a year or more. With hair bought at the beauty supply store, your may have to purchase a new pack every time, which can add up.

Finding the perfect human hair extensions is important when looking for your perfect long, full hairstyle. If you invest in good hair, you will get your money’s worth. If you are trying new temporary styles, you may want to look into spending a little less money.

When choosing a 2010 prom updo, think about your “look.” Are you going for a classy, elegant, tousled, sleek or glamorous look? Choose a prom updo that accents the shape of your face, makes you feel comfortable and helps you look great in your dress. For inspiration, look in your favorite teen magazines.

Before the day of prom arrives, experiment and try all the different hairstyles and updos you think you might like. This will give you a feel for how long it will take to do your hair, whether you can do the hairdo on your own or will need help, and whether or not youll really like it. After trying out each prom updo, take a picture of yourself for future reference. If you already have your prom dress, try it on with each style so you can see the whole look.

Half Updo

Half updos are a great way to accent your cheekbones. This hairstyle is easy to do on your own and can be secured with an elastic band or dazzling barrette. Varieties on half updos for prom include creating a short French braid with the strands of hair pulled back. To add volume to your hair, curl it with hot rollers first. Once your hair is out of the curlers, tease the whole top section and pin it back.

Chignon

Still popular for 2010 prom updos, the chignon is a classic (and celebrity favorite) that will never go away. You can pull off this updo with or without bangs. For a variation on the chignon, curl all your hair with a medium iron after it has been dried, and pull it into a loose, low ponytail. Braid the ponytail, tying an elastic band at the end, and roll the braid to form a chignon. Secure the updo with bobby pins and apply a holding spray.

Do the Twist

A hair roll or twist creates an updo with a Victorian-era look. Hair is rolled, starting at the bangs, all the way down to the back of your neck and is secured with an elastic band before working the rest of the hair into a chignon or bun. This is a popular 2010 updo for girls with super-straight hair.

Low Ponytail

Slick, low ponytails are all the rage on the red carpet. They are easy to do and have a lot of versatility. The popular thing to do with a low ponytail is hide the elastic band by wrapping a strand of your own hair around it. For a change on this sleek look, create a side ponytail so your hair cascades over your shoulder.

Braids

Braids are back in 2010 updos! They are being used by trendsetters in place of a headband for half updos, as a way to glamorously part hair for an updo, and to frame buns or chignons. Celebrities have been spotted walking down the red carpet with a Rapunzel look, hair slicked into a high ponytail and woven into a sleek, bulky braid.

Let it Loose

One of the best hairstyles you can wear is the one you have right now. If you cant decide on an updo for prom, go with what youve got and already know you like. In addition to utilizing some amazing 2010 updos, some trendsetting girls have glammed it up by letting their locks hang loose in gentle, sleek waves.

Whatever 2010 prom updo you choose, make sure it reflects who you are, even if that means taking a risk and trying something new and creative.
